• Respond to fire alarms, emergencies, and rescue calls promptly
• To assist RIV / fire truck while moving for emergency response
• Operate fire vehicles, pumps, hoses, extinguishers, and other firefighting equipment.
• Perform search and rescue operations in fire or confined-space environments.
• Assist in controlling and extinguishing fires using approved techniques.
• Conduct routine inspections of firefighting equipment, hydrants, extinguishers, and
vehicles.
• Participate in emergency drills and training exercises.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain readiness for emergency situations.
• Support fire prevention programs, including workplace inspections and hazard reporting.
• Provide first aid/CPR as required during emergencies.
• Prepare reports after incidents, drills, or equipment inspections.
• Conduct regular inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, fire pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, and suppression systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in fire detection and suppression equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance as per NFPA standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Support system commissioning, upgrades, and installations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
• Ensure all fire protection systems comply with local civil defense regulations.
• Assist in training staff on proper use of fire protection equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for maintenance and testing activities.
• Report system deficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement

Qualification and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Diploma in fire and safety engineering or Equivalent
• Certified Fire Fighter Level 1 / Level 2 (NFPA 1001 or equivalent).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / First Aid / CPR certification.
• Experience in the same field / industrial or municipal firefighting preferred.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks.
• Knowledge of fire behavior, hazardous materials, and emergency response procedures
