Job Summary:
The Flagman is responsible for directing crane operators and ensuring safe lifting operations by providing clear and effective hand signals or other forms of
communication. This role requires close attention to safety protocols and a thorough understanding of lifting equipment and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Signaling and Communication: Provide accurate and clear hand signals to crane operators during lifting and hoisting operations. Communicate effectively with the lifting crew, ensuring everyone understands the operation’s plan and any potentialhazards.
2. Safety Compliance: Ensure all lifting operations comply with company safety standards and relevant regulations. Monitor the worksite for any safety hazards andtake immediate action to mitigate risks.
3. Coordination: Coordinate with riggers and other crew members to ensure the correctand safe attachment of loads. Assist in planning and executing lifting operations,including selecting the correct lifting gear and equipment.
4. Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect lifting equipment and gear to ensure theyare in good working condition and report any defects or issues.Ensure propermaintenance and storage of lifting equipment.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, including loaddetails, equipment used, and any incidents or near misses.
– Complete and submit necessary safety documentation and reports.

Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Valid flagman or signalman certification (as per ADNOC Standards).
– Experience in crane operations and signaling.
– Strong understanding of lifting operations, equipment, and safety protocols.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
– Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

· Preferred Qualifications:
– Previous experience in construction or industrial settings.
– Additional certifications in rigging or lifting operations.
· Working Conditions:
– Work is primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
– May require working at heights and in confined spaces.
– Must always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
